Today’s Gem of Insight #142

r6Kx1Ustory-chocolate-40Today’s insight journey led me to the idea that chocolate is not so bad after all. Okay, so, in reality I have never had anything against chocolate – it has always done its own thing and so have I. And to those who know me, it is no secret that chocolate has never really been my indulgence of choice, though I have been known to partake of the occasional piece of chocolate here and there.

However, as of late, I have found that my willingness to expand the range of chocolate treats that I am open to trying has grown, and I have actually, in some instances, been pleasantly surprised with some of the choices. So, I guess chocolate is alright in my book. Who would have imagined that? #lovebythedrop

coffee-cup-4Today’s insight journey led me to the idea that coffee can even taste good to the non-coffee drinker. I have never really been much of a coffee drinker – for some reason I have never really liked the taste of coffee, as it was either too strong, bitter, or both.

However, recently, I made the decision to give coffee a chance and came to find out that as long as I use plenty of certain creamers and sugar, the taste of coffee isn’t half bad. Who would have thought that that would be possible?

Now, I cannot guarantee that I am going to become a coffee aficionado or that I will become an avid coffee drinker, but my new-found appreciation of coffee may lead to the consumption of the occasional cup. And that, my dears, is just fine with me. #lovebythedrop

lasagnaToday’s insight journey led me to the idea that home cooked meals beat purchased meals any day of the week, but sometimes the lack of labor on our part makes dine-out meals a winner. Take for example a popular Italian favorite, lasagna, which is one of those food items that immediately provides comfort via the mere ingestion of its pleasant aroma. And I probably do not even need to describe the wonder that exists upon the consumption of the first bite.

Despite the fact that lasagna is as potent and enthusiastically full of benefits as it is, it is rather easy to prepare, though the process does typically require a substantial portion of time, an amount of time that on any given busy day may be a bit more than one wants to spend. And on such days, dine-out lasagna can be a good way to go, as it offers lasagna’s usual benefits without the required investment of time. Now, that definitely sounds like a win-win situation to me. Let there be no mistake, having home cooked meals will likely continue to be my preference. However, appreciating the convenience of dine-out meals is a concept that is not lost on me, by any means, and I suspect that this might be the same for many of you too.  #lovebythedrop
