Heavy Hearts

So much tragedy. So much uncertainty. So much chaos. This world that we live in…this world. I know that the Bible speaks of the last days…the days in which we are living, describing in detail the very types of events that we are unfortunately experiencing and to which we are bearing witness.

Yet, even with the Bible shedding such clear light on the reality of what it is to live in this fallen world, at this time, it is still immensely shocking when these types of tragic events come to pass.

Through it all I still pray for peace, harmony, and togetherness, and my focus is still on Christ. There is so much that is unable to be understood, unable to be grasped, and unable to be logically processed. But through it all God is still with us and He is still Love. Love and peace to us all #lovebythedrop

At any given moment we can look at ourselves in the mirror, think about ourselves while taking a breather, or contemplate others’ descriptions of us and think “wow, I really like myself today,” “oh man, what’s wrong with me?,” or anything in between.

At any given moment a snapshot of each and every one of us will reveal a different view of us than we held even the moment before, and no matter how minute those differences might be, the snapshots will always be different.

My question to all of us is: what do those differences reveal to us and are we okay with it?

For some of us the differences between those snapshots are substantial – in one moment we love ourselves, in the next we can’t even tolerate looking at ourselves in the mirror. Yet for others of us the differences are practically unnoticeable.

Now, I’m not here to say that one reality is better than another. In all actuality each one of us is the only person who can decide for each of us whether or not our reality, our view of ourselves from any given moment to the next, is right, best, or better for us.

I am simply here to ask: what do your snapshots reveal about you and are you okay with it? Be blessed. #lovebythedrop

Happy Mother’s Day ❤️

I am blessed to have a mother who loves me beyond measure, oftentimes puts my needs above her own, and sacrifices without having to be asked.

Thank you mom for all that you have done, are doing, and will do. I do not deserve you and I could never be worthy of you.

You are a tangible representation of God’s heart and I will cherish you always. #lovebythedrop
