Today’s Gem of Insight #131

lasagnaToday’s insight journey led me to the idea that home cooked meals beat purchased meals any day of the week, but sometimes the lack of labor on our part makes dine-out meals a winner. Take for example a popular Italian favorite, lasagna, which is one of those food items that immediately provides comfort via the mere ingestion of its pleasant aroma. And I probably do not even need to describe the wonder that exists upon the consumption of the first bite.

Despite the fact that lasagna is as potent and enthusiastically full of benefits as it is, it is rather easy to prepare, though the process does typically require a substantial portion of time, an amount of time that on any given busy day may be a bit more than one wants to spend. And on such days, dine-out lasagna can be a good way to go, as it offers lasagna’s usual benefits without the required investment of time. Now, that definitely sounds like a win-win situation to me. Let there be no mistake, having home cooked meals will likely continue to be my preference. However, appreciating the convenience of dine-out meals is a concept that is not lost on me, by any means, and I suspect that this might be the same for many of you too.  #lovebythedrop

Today’s insight journey led me to the idea that gum-control is important. Yes, you read that statement correctly. Like many of us I enjoy a piece or two of gum on a regular basis. And why wouldn’t I? Gum tastes good, it’s convenient, and depending on the type of gum chosen, it can also freshen one’s breath. What’s not to like about that?

There are, however, some cons to chewing gum, one of the greatest of which is the fact that it can be noisy. So, as those of us who are gum-chewers partake of those tasty little pieces of our favorite gum, let’s keep in mind that others might not enjoy the musical symphony that we may so comfortably, and possibly unknowingly, create, and keep the decibel level of our gum chewing at a minimum so that happiness can abound all around. #lovebythedrop

Today’s insight journey led me to the idea that hobbies are the spice of life. Life is full of responsibilities – work, family, etc. And as major components of our lives it’s no wonder that they require so much of our time and effort.

However, life still leaves a little room for fun, for the things that we enjoy outside of the major components that comprise our lives. And whether we enjoy watching football, baking delicious treats, or visiting museums, the hobbies that we have serve, in many ways, to keep life from becoming mundane and lackluster.

What’s that? You do not have any hobbies? Well, it’s never too late to pick up a hobby. It’s rather simple to do. All that you need to do is think about what interests you and then find an avenue through which to do what you enjoy. Who knows, you might even stumble upon your new favorite pastime. And that, my dears, is certainly worth the effort. #lovebythedrop
