Today’s Gem of Insight #111

Today’s insight journey led me to the idea that we should not always be so quick to replace the old with the new. Sure, new things and people tend to bring with them a sense of newness, excitement, and a thrill. The newness can be engaging, the excitement addictive, and the thrill alluring, all of which is understandable.

Welcoming new things and people into our lives can be great. However, we must not allow ourselves to become so caught up with the new things and people that enter our lives that we lose sight of and appreciation for the things and people that are already in our lives, especially those things and people that have been in our lives for quite a while. Just as the new serves a purpose in our lives, so does the old. #lovebythedrop
