Today’s insight journey led me to the idea that it is important to conserve energy, even during the winter. The holiday season often brings with it cooler temperatures and festive spirits, which leads to greater use of heating systems and extended periods of leaving on holiday lights.
Though use of heating systems is practically a necessity this time of year and extended use of holiday lights is a common tradition, it is important that we do not allow ourselves to overlook the ways in which we can conserve energy. For example, we can conserve energy by turning off lights when we exit rooms, using energy efficient lights, and turning off heating systems when not at home.
We can all be festive while continuing to do our part to conserve energy. It may take a little creativity on our parts, but the payoff is certainly worth it. #lovebythedrop
