Today’s Gem of Insight #136

Slow-turtle-practicing-patienceToday’s insight journey led me to the idea that there comes a time when we all must make due with something. As human beings it is our natural tendency to want to fix things that we deem to be broken, change our circumstances when we find them to be less than desirable, and change ourselves when we reach the conclusion that we need to adapt and adjust. And that is perfectly fine.

However, one of the areas in which we human beings seem to struggle the most is knowing when and how to make due with things when doing so is exactly what is in our best interest. Now, I am not saying that we need to constantly live our lives according to the status quo, never wanting or hoping for anything beyond what we have and are currently experiencing.

Instead, what I am proposing is that we recognize those moments when we simply need to make due with the current state of things, even if just for a short while. Doing so will likely reduce our stress levels (as we will no longer flutter about like nervous little butterflies) and provide us with the time needed in order to gain the clarity required to recognize the moments when we are to make adjustments, so that we can make the most of them. And to me, clarity and proper placement in respect to future opportunities is well worth making due with certain things for a little while. What are your thoughts? #lovebythedrop
