Today I am thankful for dishwashers. As a person who loves to cook and eat, I certainly know what it is like to have to deal with dirty dishes. And I do not know about you, but I do not like to wash dishes. It is one of my least favorite chores to tackle. And more often than not I have other things that I need to dedicate that time to. But at the same time, I love to have a clean home. So, it comes as no surprise to most people who know me that I thoroughly appreciate dishwashers.
And what’s interesting is that the only dishwasher that we had in my household as I was growing up was me, once I became old enough to handle the task, that is. Maybe that is part of the reason why I was so excited when I moved into my first apartment and it had a dishwasher. I certainly appreciated the vaulted ceilings, the large living room, and the cozy bedroom, but it was the dishwasher that made me want to do cartwheels.
Having a dishwasher may seem like something simple and unimportant to those who have one or have at least had the benefit of using one at some point in their life. But to someone who has not had the experience of having a dishwasher before, it truly can be seen as an unparalleled blessing, especially since it can save them time, effort, and a whole lot of elbow grease. See, You will probably never look at a dishwasher the same after this, and neither will I. #lovebythedrop
