Today’s insight journey led me to the idea that sometimes striking up a conversation with someone new can be a good thing. In this world that seems to be growing scarier by the minute it’s no wonder that many of us find ourselves hesitant to hold conversations with people whom we do not know. But at times, while still exercising wisdom and care, it is good for us to step out of our bubbles and make the acquaintance of others and take those few moments to share a common experience.
We never know how much of a blessing such a decision can be. Simple conversations under those circumstances can often bless the people with whom we are communicating, us, and even bystanders and onlookers who may not even be directly involved. We may find that we say the exact thing that they need to hear in that moment to strengthen and encourage them. Or maybe just affording them the opportunity to speak about themselves and their life is what they need. And imagine the impact that we can have on the lives of those individuals if in addition to choosing to have a conversation we choose to converse about things that will uplift, edify, and encourage the individuals involved. Now, that’s the kind of positivity that this world needs. #lovebythedrop
