Today’s insight journey led me to the idea that we should beware of taking people for granted. Unfortunately, with the numerous amount and sort of distractions that many of us encounter on a daily basis – work, personal responsibilities, extracurricular activities, etc. – it can be easy to temporarily neglect the important relationships that are in our lives.
We have all experienced this phenomenon at some time or another, and most people who care for us will look past the occasional moment of neglect. The problem arises, though, when we allow those temporary and sporadic moments of neglect to become habitual. And habitual neglect, if left unchecked, can bring about the death of any relationship, even relationships that at one point in time were thriving.
So, though we all have moments of distraction, let’s not allow those moments to become so frequent that we begin to take for granted those who mean the most to us, because the risk just may not be worth it. #lovebythedrop
