Today’s insight journey led me to the idea that what we say and think about ourselves is much more powerful than anything that anyone else says or thinks about us. With so many constant reminders of how much society focuses on image and appearance, it’s no wonder that thoughts of what others may be thinking about us enter our minds. And if we are not careful those thoughts can become so frequent and dominant that we begin to place more weight on them than on our own thoughts about ourselves.
The important thing to remember, though, is that it’s not what other people think about us that matters; what truly matters is what we think about ourselves and what we allow to influence the thoughts that we have about ourselves. And the good thing about that is that what we think about ourselves is something that is entirely within our control. So, the next time that thoughts of what others think about us enter our minds we can remind ourselves of the fact that what we think about ourselves is what really matters and make any necessary adjustments based on that. #lovebythedrop
