Today’s Gem of Gratitude #44

Today I am thankful for stability. In a world that is full of fluctuations it is nice to know that it is still possible to experience stability. Sometimes changes in employment situations, relationships, and other aspects of life can send us reeling, wondering what is really going on and why this is happening to us. But knowing that certain aspects of our lives such as the love we receive from a loved one, the nurturing relationships that we have with those who genuinely care for us, and our faith provide us with a sense of stability can give us comfort in a world that seeks to withhold the very same from us.

Today was one of those days when I was most thankful for the aspects of my life that provide me with stability because today was one of the days that I needed to be comforted by the presence of that stability the most. We never know when the challenges of life are going to find us, beat us down, and attempt to conquer us, but regardless of when they choose to rear their ugly heads the aspects of our lives that yield to us a sense of stability will be there to help us through those times of unexpected discomfort.

For those of you who are aware of the aspects in your life that provide you with a sense of stability, hold on to them and cherish them while you can. To those of you who are not certain as to whether or not any aspects of your life provide you with a sense of stability, I encourage you to take some time to really think about your life and the various components of which it is comprised, and I am certain that you will realize that something or someone in your life does provide you with a sense of stability. Sometimes, noticing it merely requires a closer look. #lovebythedrop
