Today I am thankful for restaurants that are open late or 24-hours. Let’s face it, we all have moments when we are hungry and it is late at night. Now, by no means am I advocating eating late at night, but just go with me on this. One such example of this is when a friend and I attended a theatrical production recently – which, by the way, was phenomenal – after which we were very hungry. By the time that we made it to the car it was about 10:45 or 11 PM, so we knew that a good majority of the restaurants in the area were either closed or would be closing soon.
After contemplating a few of the restaurants that we knew would be open, we settled on one restaurant that is not open 24-hours, but rather just open late. By the time that we made it to that restaurant it was almost 11:30 PM and we were famished. We had to wait for a little while before being seated, and then of course to receive the food that we ordered. By the time that our food arrived we were so thankful that that restaurant was open late that we practically scarfed our food down while conversing and enjoying each other’s company.
Now, had that restaurant, or some other restaurant like it, not been open that time of night we would have missed out on the quality time that we spent with each other, and we would have felt like we were truly starving by the time that we got home. Now, I will not promise that restaurants that are open late or 24-hours will offer the best or the healthiest food, but I will say that some of them can and will provide food that will at least hit the spot. #lovebythedrop
