Today I am thankful for pizza (both authentic Italian style pizza and non-authentic Italian style pizza). There are so many reasons why I appreciate pizza: it’s tasty, portable, and usually inexpensive. And since I spent a good portion of my life as a student while working and navigating a busy schedule, tasty, portable, and inexpensive meals have become staples for me.
Pizza is also a desirable food option for me because it is versatile; you can load it up with as many or as few options that you would like, and those options can vary. Generally, I enjoy cheese, vegetables, and some sort of meat choice, and at times my preference undulates within those ranges of options.
In addition to being versatile pizza also requires very little cooking time, which means that it is a perfect meal choice for those who are short on time and need to eat quickly. And now that many restaurants that make pizza offer gluten free and whole grain pizza dough options, certain pizza choices are a little healthier than they have been in the past. All in all, pizza is a cost and time efficient meal choice that can appeal to even the most discriminating palate. Buon appetito! #lovebythedrop
