Today’s Gem of Gratitude #330

car-wash

Today I am thankful for car washes. Living in the desert it can become rather dusty at times, especially during monsoon season when the rains come and dust storms follow. Now, a lot of fun can be had washing one’s car oneself – covering the car and yourself (and others) in soapy wonder, rinsing everything and everyone off with the cool water pouring from a rarely used water hose, swirling on a coat of wax, and marveling at the beauty that results once it is fully dry – but in this ever-busy world that we live in, at times the time to wash your car yourself may be lacking. Thankfully, when the need arises we can drive to our nearest car wash and in a matter of minutes drive away in a spotless vehicle out into a bright and full future. Just the way it should be. #lovebythedrop

  1. I actually find going through a car wash to be pretty relaxing. I love the sound of the water hitting my car from all sides, and the idea of something being done for me while I just sit back with my car in neutral, enjoying the sounds of automatic cleaning. Thanks for reminding me to be grateful for this. 🙂

    1. You are more than welcome! I, too, enjoy going through a car wash for the same reasons. It’s nice to take a little time for yourself, even if it’s for just a few moments. Thanks for sharing!
