Today’s Gem of Gratitude #361

Today I am thankful for short commutes. Though I am a lover of road trips and lengthy drives for leisure, I am not a fan of lengthy commutes, especially when those commutes need to be made on a daily basis. And though I will certainly make lengthy commutes on a regular basis if absolutely necessary, I typically jump at the opportunity to bypass frequent lengthy commutes.

Now, I do realize that some people enjoy lengthy commutes, and that others are more or less indifferent to lengthy commutes. And I also realize that many individuals who find themselves subjected to making lengthy commutes enjoy passing the time by listening to audio books, language lessons, or even talk radio, tasks that can be rather enjoyable. However, as for me, I would rather make it to where I need to go sooner rather than later so that I can jump start my day and find myself that much closer to delving back into my personal time. For some reason it has always been that way, and I have a feeling that it is not going to change any time soon. #lovebythedrop
