Today’s insight journey led me to the idea that chivalry is not dead, it simply has been widely abandoned. I have heard numerous women laugh and shake their heads as if to demonstrate their utter disbelief when anyone has mentioned chivalry. They laugh because chivalry has become so far removed from our society that many of them have never experienced it. Yes, that’s right. Never. For some reason many individuals have laid it down as though it were some outdated pair of shoes and replaced it with nonchalance and indifference.
However, there is a remnant of mature men who have committed themselves to keeping chivalry alive. They may be few and far between, but the important thing is that they exist. And unfortunately because so many individuals have discarded chivalry, those men who do exhibit chivalry are often overlooked and under appreciated. So, I encourage each and every one of us ladies to honor and appreciate the men in our lives who embrace and exhibit a chivalrous lifestyle. May we never forget to give honor when honor is due. #lovebythedrop
