Today I am thankful for junk food. I am constantly cognizant of the fact that it is important to maintain a healthy diet and a healthy amount of activity. And though I am making an effort to maintain a healthy lifestyle, I am not going to even attempt to give you the impression that I do not indulge in the consumption of the occasional junk food item, because I do. Sometimes I just simply want to eat or drink something that is not entirely healthy for me, and that is okay. All things with moderation, right? Ok, not all things, but I think that you understand my point here.
On any given occasion when a craving for junk food hits, I might decide that I want some hot fries, potato chips, or maybe some peanut butter M&Ms. It all depends on how I am feeling and what happens to sound good to me at that time. And I have learned that depriving myself entirely of eating junk food is not something that proves to be realistic for me at this point. I am not saying that I cannot forgo junk food entirely, but rather that it is not something that I have chosen to do at this point.
I can say, though, that the more that I make it a point to eat healthy items and lead a healthy lifestyle, the less that I crave or desire junk food. So, when the occasional craving for junk food hits, then it is less likely that I will go overboard because those naughty food and beverage items now taste too rich, or too sweet, so I can only stomach smaller amounts of them than before. See, as always there is a silver lining. #lovebythedrop
