Today I am thankful for emoji, because sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words. And though I make use of emoji frequently, by no means do I think that all communication should be made with emoji. That would be unrealistic, inefficient, and highly unsatisfying. At times, though, when you just want to let someone one quickly know, for example, that you are thinking of them, that you love them, that they make you smile, emoji are a great way to convey those sentiments to your intended recipient. And they are cute to boot with seemingly automatic smile-inducing mechanisms build right in. And who does not appreciate that? I know that I do. #lovebythedrop
