Today I am thankful for real people. If there is one thing that I expressly do not appreciate it is fake people. People can be mean, rude, disrespectful, nice, polite, respectful, or anything in between, but whatever the case may be, I prefer that they be true to who they are as opposed to pretending to be someone or something that they are not.
As is probably the case with most of us, I prefer to spend time with people who are nice, polite, respectful, and kind, and would rather steer completely clear of people who choose to exhibit negative attitudes and disrespectful tendencies. However, I would rather be around people who are negative and disrespectful and are truly being themselves than to spend time with people who choose to be fake and exhibit behaviors and personalities that seemingly change with the wind.
It’s hard to trust, get to know, and understand fake people, and personally, I would rather save my effort, energy, and sentiments for those who are real and live their lives in a way that is genuine. After all, we are all individuals, so we might as well own our individuality while bettering ourselves and becoming the people who we were created to be. #lovebythedrop
