Today I am thankful for professional associations. In this world where who you know tends to bear more weight than what you know, access to professional associations is key. Professional associations often provide you with opportunities to network, improve your skill set, increase your knowledge base, and foster substantial social connections.
Yes, joining and participating in professional associations will require the input of extra effort and time, but in most instances the pay off will be more than worth it. And one of the best aspects associated with professional associations is the fact that, generally, one can be himself or herself and still find success within just about any professional association, whether they are an introvert, extrovert, or a combination of the two.
So, the next time that you find yourself needing to expand your professional horizons and branch out, I encourage you to give professional associations a serious try. Who knows, you just might find your new niche. #lovebythedrop
Great post! Having support through a professional association has helped me feel inspired and encouraged at different times, and you’re right: that type of network can help bring all types of people into the fold.
Thank you! Be blessed!
